Every Glide deck is double-sided phenolic, lubricated on both sides with our superior deck treatment, Diamond Deck. Regardless of what you've seen on the web or read in print, there are two type of deck laminates now making their way to market via OEM and aftermarket suppliers - phenolic and acrylic. While both laminates are viable, it's important that consumers know that wax (and Diamond Deck) can't be applied to an acrylic deck, and lubrication requirements for acrylic laminate decks are different than phenolic. We've also noticed there's confusion within the fitness community when it comes to decks, belts, and the right way to lubricate at the time of installation and throughout the life of the product, regardless of the laminate. Our decades of real-world experience in the field, along with our ongoing service work for several prominent treadmill manufacturers gives us a unique insight and perspective with this issue.
